2D is standard ultrasound, in grayscale, showing cross sections of your baby's anatomy. We perform limited 2D ultrasound (about 2 minutes) for the diagnostic portion of the scan. This allows us to understand the position of the baby and locate optimum scanning positions before switching to 3D/4D. These minutes do not come out of the time we guarantee for you in your package.

The exception to this is if you order the Pewter Package at our Pleasanton location. If you order the Pewter Package at 3DBabyVu Pleasanton, your whole scan is conducted in 2D.
